Who is Anthony Jackson?
A self made cinematographer, I learn mostly everything I know about cinematoraphy from on hand experience .Reading a lot of books, and asking questions on web sites such as DVX user ,and having a background in photography. One of my favorite books called shot by shot by Steven d.katz has a lot of information in it. The 35mm photographer’s handbook by Julian Calder is another one. The filmmaker’s handbook by Edward Pincus and Steven Ascher teaches different subjects like making a film, the moving image, the format, comparing the formats, motion picture sound, and video, and film. I found many of these teachings to be quite helpful in my quest to be a good cinematographer.
When I am behind that camera, it is like being an artist in front of a blank canvas getting ready to paint his next masterpiece. I look at the talent, the composition space, and picture what I want in the final result. What I have to do next to bring this vision to life. In writing a storyboard I pay attention to the details each artist is saying in his or her lyrics; I try to make that happen for the audience so they can feel as though they are there in the video. Lighting plays one of the most important parts roles in my film making. I take a lot of time making certain the lighting is the correct ambiance for the task, essentially checking that the essences of the scene feels natural. So when you get ready for your next project do not forget that quality, planning, visualization, production design, composing shots takes planning. In addition, a price you cannot beat and a professional working relationship with apfxstudios is the way to go! Two of my music videos played on MTV and other TV stations in the US. Lets see what you got in mind. I can make it into platinum.
